How It Works

Monthly Sessions

One live virtual 90-minute session per month (30-45 min topic + 30-45 min Q&A/hot seats). We meet as a cohort to learn, share, and challenge each other.

Topics are roadmapped for the first 3-4 months, but we adapt based on what surfaces. Curriculum serves the group; the group doesn't serve the curriculum.

Weekly Accountability

Every week, you submit three things:

  • Scoreboard Number

One key metric (cash, backlog, GM, AR, cycle time)

  • Execution Commitment

One commitment for the next 7 days

  • Integrity Alignment

One hard conversation, truth told, or boundary honored

90-Day Performance Guarantee

If you attend sessions, submit weekly accountability, participate in good faith, and do not experience measurable progress by day 90, you may request a refund and exit.

This guarantee is participation-based. We're betting on you. We're confident that if you show up and do the work, you'll see results.

Foundations Cohort - Frequently Asked Questions

That's exactly why we have the application process. We'll ask you questions about your business, goals, and readiness. If Foundations Cohort seems like a fit, we'll discuss it during your discovery call. If we think another program is better, we'll be honest about that too. Our goal is to match you with the right program for your stage.

Foundations Cohort requires approximately 3-4 hours per month. This includes the monthly 2-hour cohort meeting, plus time to work on worksheets and implement what you're learning. Most members find this manageable alongside running their business, and the ROI is significant.

Foundations Cohort is primarily a peer cohort model, not 1-on-1 coaching. You'll get mentorship from the facilitator during group sessions and peer accountability from your cohort members. If you need more individual support, consider Owner's Table Cohort or our Advisory & Consulting program.

Great! Foundations Cohort isn't just about profitability—it's about building systems, clarity, and peer relationships. Many profitable business owners join Foundations Cohort because they want to scale, reduce their personal workload, or build better processes. If you're already at $1M+ revenue, Owner's Table Cohort might be a better fit.

We typically start new cohorts quarterly. Joining mid-cohort is possible but not ideal, as you'll miss foundational content. We recommend waiting for the next cohort start date to get the full experience and build relationships from day one.

If you complete the first 90 days of Foundations Cohort and don't feel it's valuable, we'll refund your membership fees. We're confident in the program, and we want you to be confident too. This guarantee shows we stand behind our work.

We look for construction owners who are coachable, humble, and hungry. We're not looking for the biggest businesses—we're looking for people committed to growth and willing to be vulnerable with their peer group. We typically accept about 70% of applicants.

Absolutely. Many Foundations Cohort members graduate into Owner's Table Cohort when they're ready to scale. The transition is natural, and you'll already have relationships with other members who might also be ready for Owner's Table Cohort.

Your sessions are facilitated by a RenderCo Strategic Architect (RSA)—a builder, operator, or senior leader who's been in your seat and certified to deliver RenderCo's playbook. RSAs work in three pillars: Clarity (naming the real problem), Structure (installing systems), and Strategy (connecting to long-term goals). They bring real construction experience, not theory.

Yes! We're building our RSA bench deliberately. We're looking for experienced construction owner-operators, former executives, or senior coaches with 10+ years in the industry and a track record that speaks for itself. If that's you, visit our RenderCo Strategic Architects page to learn more.
